Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be used to remember preferences, maintain secure sessions, and support website functionality.

How IRDI Uses Cookies

The International Responsible Detectorist Institute uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies to provide essential website functionality and, where permitted, to better understand how visitors use the website.

Necessary Cookies

Necessary cookies are required for the website to function properly. These may support features such as secure authentication, account sessions, form security, and other essential website functions.

Because these cookies are necessary for the operation and security of the website, they cannot be disabled through IRDI's cookie preferences.

Preference Storage

IRDI may store local preferences needed for features you choose to use, including accessibility preferences. Necessary session and security technologies may also be used to keep you signed in, protect forms, and operate account features.

Analytics Cookies

IRDI may use analytics technologies to better understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are visited and how visitors navigate the site.

Analytics cookies are optional and are only intended to be used when you have given permission through the cookie preferences system.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can accept or reject optional cookies when the cookie notice first appears. You can also change your choice at any time by selecting Cookie Preferences in the footer of the website.

Browser Controls

Most web browsers also allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent some parts of the IRDI website from working correctly.

Changes to This Policy

IRDI may update this Cookie Policy as website features, services, or technologies change. Any updates will be posted on this page.
